Black Bean Burgers

 

Ingredients

2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained

1 small onion, minced

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup chopped carrots

½ cup quick oats

1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed

1 Tablespoon liquid aminos

1 Tablespoon coconut oil

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon coriander

½ teaspoon chili powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Instructions

 

Heat oil in pan and combine onions, garlic, salt and pepper and cook until onions are translucent.  Add carrots, cumin, coriander, chili powder and cayenne pepper until carrots are tender.  Remove from heat.

On a sheet pan, mash the beans (not 100%) and add to pan along with Liquid Aminos and oats.

Mix and form patties.

Place in freezer 1 hour to set.
